Operation Theatre (OT) Management Software

OT management takes care of scheduling surgeries, making surgical notes, following up with patients before and after anesthesia, getting consent forms for OT, and keeping track of OT inventory. What is hospital management software (HMIS)?

Hospital management software, or HMIS or HMS, is a digital system that links all of a hospital’s departments, such as the pharmacy, lab, billing, nursing, and stores, into one. The doctor, pharmacist, lab technician, and billing counter can all see patient information right away after it is entered at registration. No need to enter data again, no paper handoffs, and no gaps in billing.

What's the difference between a Hospital Management System (HMS) and a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)?

In India, the two words are used to mean the same thing. HMIS usually means a more complete platform that combines information from clinical, financial, and administrative functions. Aarogya is exactly that. HMS is the easier word. Both of these words refer to the same type of software

Is Aarogya good for small hospitals and nursing homes?

Yes. Aarogya Offline is made just for hospitals with up to 150 beds. It runs on your own server, doesn’t need a lot of internet access, and is affordable for people with smaller budgets. 10 to 30 bed nursing homes and single-specialty clinics are some of our oldest customers.

Can I use Aarogya as a cloud-based hospital management program?

Yes. Aarogya SaaS is a cloud-based version for hospitals with up to 1,500 beds. It can be accessed in real time from any authorized device, updates happen automatically, there is no downtime, and monthly subscriptions can be increased as needed. Aarogya NG works with bigger multi-site organizations on either cloud or dedicated infrastructure.

Is Aarogya certified by ABDM and following NABH rules?

Yes, Aarogya is ABDM-certified as part of the Government of India’s national digital health program. When you sign up for ABHA, your ID is stored and synced with the national health system. Aarogya also follows the rules set by DISHA and HIPAA. The system automatically creates NABH documentation like registers, audit logs, consent forms, and statistical reports from clinical data that is already in the system.

Can Aarogya work with lab machines and analyzers?

Yes, Aarogya LIS works with more than 200 laboratory analyzers from companies like Siemens, Abbott, Mindray, Cobas (Roche), Horiba, ERBA, Tosoh, Beckman Coulter, Randox, Sysmex, and others. The machine sends results straight to the doctor’s screen, so they don’t have to enter them by hand.

How long does it take to put into action?

Smaller places, like nursing homes and clinics, can go live in two to three days. It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks for a phased rollout at mid-sized hospitals. It takes 3 to 6 weeks for large teaching and multi-specialty hospitals. Throughout the process, our implementation team takes care of configuration, data migration, staff training, and go-live support.

What help is there after the system is set up?

Ongoing help by phone, email, and in-person visits. A team of more than 30 active developers makes sure that the software is always up to date, even when rules change (ABDM, GST, NMC). When something breaks at 10 PM, you can talk to a real person instead of a ticketing system.
